Team Valkyrie [val-kuh-ree] founded by Shannon Tobin, Amy Riley and Magdalena King, are an all-female race team coming to the grid in 2022.
Our aim is, first and foremost, to get on the grid and perform at our best as racing drivers. All three of us are talented, dedicated, and passionate racers, with our sights set on competing at the highest levels of motorsport.
But beyond that, we hope to inspire other women and girls to enter the world of motorsport, from drivers and engineers to marketing and team managers - and every role in between.
Fierce and respectful competition is our M.O. – both on track and in the paddock.
Why Valkyrie? The Valkyries of Norse mythology were powerful female warriors who flew above the battle fields and collected the souls of fallen warriors, bringing them to Valhalla to fight alongside them in the final battle of the gods - Ragnarok. Valkyrie means “Chooser of the slain”.
